Stratford School Board Approves Budget That Includes Spending Increase

The Stratford Board of Education unanimously approved sending a nearly $133 million school budget request to Mayor Laura Hoydick.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Mayor Laura Hoydick will review a nearly $133 million school budget request for 2025-26 after the Board of Education unanimously approved the spending plan this week, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports the proposed budget, which represents a 2.66 percent increase over the current spending plan, maintains the district’s existing services and includes no staff cuts.

Hoydick is expected to present her overall town budget proposal to the Town Council in the coming weeks, according to the Post.
