ID Of Stratford Teen, Shot And Killed In New Haven Released: Police
Police released the identity of the teen who was shot and killed.
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Jhavare Smith, 18, of Stratford, according to New Haven police. The investigation is ongoing.
NEW HAVEN, CT — An 18-year-old from Stratford was fatally shot in New Haven, police said Sunday.
At 2:47 a.m. Sunday, police responded to Tilton and Mansfield streets for a person shot. Police found a teenager from Stratford shot and lying on the sidewalk, police said.

He was taken to a local hospital and died, police said.
