STRATFORD, CT — A trapped dog was rescued from a culvert with the help of an alert little boy, according to the Stratford Animal Control.
Officials said a little boy who was playing in his grandmother’s yard spotted the dog trapped in a culvert.
“Luckily, with the help of the fire department, we were able to get the dog out and get him transported to the vet for an emergency examination,” the animal control wrote in a post on Facebook. “He was found to have been injured resulting in a herniated disc and will require some further care. He is resting comfortably at the shelter and will hopefully be reunited with his owners tomorrow.”
