Undercover Stratford Cop Nabs Man for Crack

An undercover Stratford police officer arrested a Bridgeport man Friday at the C-Town Plaza on Boston Avenue in Stratford.

Destin Simmons, 18, was charged with sales of narcotics (crack cocaine) and interfering with an officer for initially giving a false name and date of birth, police said.

Police said Simmons arrived at the plaza Friday to make a drug transaction with the undercover officer. The arrest was part of an investigation into drug activity at the plaza, police said.

Simmons was held in lieu of $50,000 bond and is due to appear in court June 21.
