Capt. Jerry Pinto said Thursday that Policano received many calls from the public that resulted in Zemo speaking directly to him earlier this week.
Pinto previously said that Zemo is accused of defrauding a Stratford-based small business of more than $14,000. He was also wanted for similar crimes throughout Connecticut, according to Pinto.
