Woman, 27, Killed In Crash In Stratford: Police

Police are investigating a fatal one-car crash in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — A 27-year-old woman was killed in a crash Saturday morning in Stratford, according to police.

Police responded around 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 13 to the area of Main Street near the intersection of Warner Hill Road on the report of a one-car crash, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto.

Pinto said the sole occupant of the 2021 black Mercedes GLA 250 was the 27-year-old driver.

An investigation found that the Mercedes was headed north on Main Street when it left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Pinto.

Pinto said the woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by Detective Joseph Maverley.
