Yale Police Officer Accused Of Assaulting Woman In Stratford: Reports
The officer has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested in Stratford, according to reports.
STRATFORD, CT — A Yale University police lieutenant is accused of assaulting a woman in Stratford, according to multiple reports.
The Connecticut Post reported Roosevelt Cesario Martinez, 58, of Stratford, was arrested last week in connection with an assault.
The woman, who was taken to the hospital, told police that she was struck three times with a golf club and lost consciousness, according to NBC Connecticut.

Martinez was charged with second-degree assault. He was released after posting a $350,000 bond with a court date of Oct. 8, according to state judicial records.
The Yale Daily News reported Martinez has been placed on paid administrative leave.
