On Campus: Great Achievements By College Students From Suffield

SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

American International College, Springfield MA

• The 140th commencement ceremony on May 4, 2025, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, honored the graduates in the Class of 2025. Suffield graduates and their majors were Jonathan DeCoteau, certificate in advanced graduate studies in reading specialist; Sadie Wood, Master of Education in moderate disabilities; and Jeremy Smith, Master of Science in nursing.
• Ryan Levis of Suffield has earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2025 semester. Levis is majoring in athletic administration and leadership. Dean's List honors are awarded to full-time students who have achieved a 3.3 to 4.0 GPA.

Elms College, Chicopee MA

• Ann Hinckley, Nicholas Kreuzer and Isabella Mills, all of Suffield, received degrees in spring 2025.
• Olivia Dufresne-Achatz, of Suffield, was named to the College of Our Lady of the Elms spring 2025 Dean's List. Dufresne-Achatz was among more than 450 students named to the list.

Endicott College, Beverly MA

• Suffield residents Marissa Dery, an education major, and Carly Matthews, a nursing major, made the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grade below a "C," have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Five students from Suffield were named to the university's spring 2025 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI students are named to the Dean's List based on the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and hands-on projects. LOcal honorees and their majors are Emma Conway, class of 2028, biology and biotechnology; Peter Danise, class of 2026, electrical and computer engineering; David Fitzgerald, class of 2025, mechanical engineering; Mara Hyder, class of 2027, mechanical engineering; and Jack Shanks, class of 2026, mechanical engineering.
