Dec. 12: Wintery Mix, Blue Laws, Q and A

Warm weather will melt the snow, but rain and fog will result.

1. The low was 28 degrees last night, allowing snow to accumulate. The National Weather Service predicts a 100 percent chance of freezing rain and snow today before 8 a.m., changing to rain after 9 a.m. There will also be patches of dense fog during the day. The high is 47, so little or no accumulation is expected.

2. A story on Connecticut blue laws and their effect on small package stores features new Suffield Cordial Shoppe owner Rick Shah will be up at 9 a.m. Check out Elissa Bass' TV tips and a profile on Suffield Fire Chief Tom Bellmore by Matt McCloghry later on today.
