Looking for something to do with your kids or the entire family? Check out these family-friendly places to visit and things to try.

Where/When: Kent Memorial Library; Saturday, March 19, 11 a.m.

Why Go: Kids from age 4 through age 8 can dress in their favorite fancy ensembles and listen to a reading of a book from the popular Fancy Nancy series. Attendees will receive a feather boa and tiara and eat fruit kebabs, veggies and ladybug cookies.
Pricing: FREE but registration is required. Call the library at 860-668-3896 to register.
Where/When: Connecticut Science Center, 250 Columbus Blvd. Hartford.
Why Go: This ongoing exhibit combines the fun of video games with the learning environment at the Science Center. Experience an alpine ski simulator and try to master the forces of nature. Don't forget to check out the center's many other exhibits while you're there.
Pricing: $14 for kids, $17 for adults
Where/When: The New England Air Museum; March 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Climb into the cockpits of 12 vintage aircraft, including helicopters, a World War II-era Corsair and a DC-3, along with three flight simulators.
Pricing: Adults pay $10, children, from age 4 through age 11, pay $6, children under age 4 are free.
Where/When: Hartford Children's Theatre, 360 Farmington Avenue, Hartford; Friday, March 18, Saturday, March 19, Sunday, March 20.
Why Go: Enjoy this play about a disruptive class clown learning about how and when to use humor to benefit others.
Pricing: $18 for adults, $13 for students and seniors.
BALLET BASICS
Where/When: Lutz Children’s Museum, Manchester; Tuesday, March 22, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: Kids age 3 through age 5 will be introduced to basic ballet movements and terminology. The museum recomments wearing comfortable clothes.
Pricing: $13 for members, $15 for non-members.
