Jan. 18: Storm's Coming

A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected today.

1. It looks like more bad weather is on the way. There is a 100 percent chance of snow and sleet today, along with patchy fog, and an 80 percent chance of a wintry mix, including freezing rain, tonight.  Total accumulation is predicted to be between 3 and 7 inches. The high temperature today will be 32 degrees and the low tonight is 28, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The Connecticut State Police are advising state residents to remove snow and ice from roof drains in anticipation of the storm tomorrow. Additionally, those with flat roofs and decks should remove snow and ice from those and other flat, exposed surfaces to prevent excess weight and stress on those structures. Read more here.
