March 2: Wildcat Basketball

The Suffield girls basketball team beat Bloomfield in a close Class M first round contest, 51-48, and the boys fell to Avon, 34-24, in a second round NCCC tournament game.

1. It will be partly sunny today and the high temperature is 41 °F. The wind will blow at speeds between 8 mph and 18 mph with gusts reaching 36 mph. The temperature will drop to an overnight low of 9 °F and the wind chill will make it feel like negative 2 °F at times. The wind speed will be between 9 mph and 16 mph and gusts will reach 37 mph tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The Wildcat girls basketball team beat Bloomfield, 51-48, in the first round of the Class M tournament last night. The Wildcat boys lost 34-24 to Avon in the second round of the NCCC tournament.
