$15,000 in Equipment Stolen From Killingworth Fire Department

Electronic equipment and lifesaving equipment was reported stolen from the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Department's Station 2.

State Police are seeking information about a burglary that occurred at the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Department.

On Monday, Dec. 28, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Troopers from Troop F Westbrook and the Killingworth Resident Trooper’s Office were dispatched to the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Departmentβ€˜s Station 2, located at 15 Little City Road in Killingworth, for a reported burglary.

Upon arriving at the station, troopers discovered that a suspect or suspects forced their way into the fire station and allegedly took more than $15,000 worth of electronic equipment and other valuable lifesaving equipment.

Troopers secured the scene, conducted a search of the area and initiated a criminal investigation. The scene was processed and evidence was collected.

The burglary is believed to have occurred sometime between the late evening hours of Sunday, Dec. 27, and the early morning hours of Monday, Dec. 28.
