- After being temporarily closed for several months, local bakery Andie's Cookies Cafe announced that it will not reopen and will officially be closing. The bakery announced a temporary closure back in March due to the owner, Andie, getting injured in a car accident and needing time to recover. (Andie's Cookies Cafe via Facebook)
- The Rockwell Foundation is currently seeking nominations for the 2023 Environmental Champion Awards, which are awarded to individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses that impact the Lower Connecticut River Valley with their environmental efforts. - Despite crops coming in slowly, Killingworth's Parmelee Farm expects to open its weekly market in mid-July. Once open, the markets will take place on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and are open to all. You can also look forward to upcoming concerts at the farm, starting with classic rock and blues on Friday, Jul. 7 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. (HK Now)
