- East Haddam's Godspeed Musicals is bringing "High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu to the stage in its upcoming production of "Summer Stock." Corbin Bleu will make his Godspeed debut as Joe Ross β a role made famous by Gene Kelly β in the production set to play at Godspeed Jul. 7-Aug. 27. Purchase tickets here. (The Middletown Press)
- The East Haddam Land Trust recently announced that it has received reports of coyotes approaching hikers with dogs at the Snell-Talbot and Bloch Preserves. During this time of year, coyotes may become aggressive to hikers and dogs if they have a den within close proximity, so be cautious when hiking and always hike with your dog on a leash. - Connecticut's Historic Gardens Day is coming up on Sunday, Jun. 25, and residents can celebrate locally at Thankful Arnold House Museum. From 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Jun. 25, visitors will learn how herbs, vegetables, and plants were used by the Widow Thankful Arnold in the early 19th century, in addition to making a lavender sachet. - The Haddam-Killingworth Recreation Department is seeking two more children to register for its S.T.E.A.M Summer Camp by Jul. 1.
