East Haddam Eatery Makes List Of Top Outdoor Dining Restaurants

EAST HADDAM, CT — An East Haddam restaurant has been included in a Connecticut Magazine list of the state's top restaurants for outdoor dining.

To compile the list, Connecticut Magazine asked its readers to choose up to three restaurants in order of preference in several categories, including best outdoor dining. Then, a "panel of experts" recommended additional places, rounding out the magazine's list.

The surveys were conducted in September and October 2021, according to Connecticut Magazine, and Gelston House Restaurant and Inn in East Haddam made the cut as one of the "Experts' Picks" restaurants.

Google describes Gelston House as a "vintage spot for upscale American fare," and its website says it has brunch, lunch and dinner menus.

It's located 8 Main St., East Haddam, and has views of the Connecticut River.
