- Goodspeed Musicals has unveiled the star-studded cast for the world premiere of musical comedy Summer Stock, featuring Danielle Wade as Jane Falbury and Corbin Bleu as Joe Ross. Produced in collaboration with VenuWorks Theatricals, the show will run from Jul. 7 to Aug. 27 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam. - Registration is now open for summer courses at the nearby Guilford Art Center. Classes for adults will begin the week of Jun. 26, and workshops will be offered throughout the summer, with registration open throughout the upcoming semester. Classes offered will include beading, blacksmithing, ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, metals, painting, printmaking, weaving, and more. A summer youth program will be offered — a nine-week program running from Monday, Jun. 19 to Aug. 18, featuring weekly half-day and full-day sessions for kids from 5 to 12 years old, as well as classes for teens and pre-teens. - A speeding Tesla driver in nearby New Haven was killed in a crash involving at least eight other vehicles, according to police. Authorities have not yet identified the driver, who succumbed to their injuries after the crash, which occurred on Nicoll Street in New Haven's East Rock neighborhood on the morning of Tuesday, May 23. Police taped off the road and, as of Tuesday, are investigating the crash. (New Haven Register)
