- Several Haddams-Killingworth organizations received $109,200 in funding from The Guilford Foundation, with grants ranging from $1,000 to $12,500. The recipients included the Women and Family Life Center and Guilford Art Center, among others, supporting vital programs and services. The Guilford Foundation aims to grow its endowment to continue investing in the community through grants and scholarships. (Patch)
- The Haddams-Killingworth's baseball team celebrated their first state title win and 743 career wins for Coach Mark Brookes. This marked a historic moment for the team, as the last time the Cougars finished a season under .500 was in 1977. Brookes also won his Class S baseball title with this championship win. Nonnewaug and Brookfield joined Haddams-Killingworth in clinching state titles. (Newstimes)
- The Haddams-Killingworth community has a range of events and meetings scheduled from Jun. 15-22, including a Planning and Zoning meeting, farmers market, Summer Arts Festival, and more. The Haddam Senior Picnic is set to take place on Jun. 19 at St. James Parish Hall, providing an opportunity for seniors to gather and enjoy a social event.
