  4. The Goodspeed Opera House, located in East Haddam, is one of 50 community organizations throughout the state that has received funds through the Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program. According to the press release, the program, managed by the Department of Revenue Services, is designed to provide corporations with the option to make donations to nonprofits and municipal organizations in exchange for a tax credit.
