James Calabrese Jr. 64 (EHFD, ret.) passed away March 18, 2025. He was the husband of his devoted wife of 37 years, Donna DeRosa-Calabrese and the dad of their two dogs; “Bella and Wooshie.” James was born in New Haven on January 10, 1961 to James S. Calabrese Sr. and the late Judy (DeChello) Calabrese.
Jim was a proud First Responder with the East Haven Fire Department. After his retirement, he embraced his passion of boating, fishing, crabbing and his second love, antique collecting.
In addition to his wife, Donna, Jim is survived by aunt, Carol Calabrese, sister, Laura Pierandi (Joe), Lisa Salvo (Michael) and a brother, Michael Calabrese and several nieces/nephews.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 11 AM in St. Lawrence Church, 7 Hemlock Dr., Killingworth CT 06419 (Please go directly to the church).
