- Don't forget: the East Haddam Swing Bridge's weekly 63-hour closures will begin later this weekend and last through late fall. Each closure is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and last through Wednesday at no later than 11:00 a.m., beginning with the first closure this upcoming Sunday, Jun. 11. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated to the public. (HK NOW)
- The Board of Education has begun working on a Master Capital Plan for Regional School District 17 school buildings and is currently seeking community input before presenting the plan at a referendum. You can provide your opinion via an online public survey here, or by taking part in one of four upcoming community conversations: Jun. 28 virtually, two meetings on Sept. 13 at Haddam-Killingworth High School, and Nov. 16 at Haddam-Killingworth High School.
