Popular Haddam Restaurant Temporarily Closes After Car Crashes Into Building
"Closed for now due to an accident on our property. No injuries, but repairs are needed," the owners said.

HADDAM, CT — Morina Restaurant at 1617 Saybrook Road is temporarily closed after a vehicle accidentally crashed into their building on Saturday, the eatery posted on Facebook.
"Closed for now due to an accident on our property. No injuries, but repairs are needed. We apologize for this inconvenience," the owners posted.
The owners said that everyone inside the building is safe but that "due to structural damage and our safety concerns for our customers and employees, we are closing our business temporarily until further notice."

On Sunday, the eatery posted an updated saying, "We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our customers, friends, and neighbors for the incredible outpouring of support following the recent accident at our restaurant.
"We are beyond grateful that no one was injured. Not our guests, our staff, or the individuals in the vehicle. Accidents like this are shocking and unsettling, but they can happen to anyone, at any time, and we truly believe that in moments like these, compassion matters far more than anything else.
