Fresh Food and How to Cook it at White Gate Farm

When it comes to cooking you really can't go wrong if you start with fresh ingredients. Of course, it helps if you know how to cook them! 

White Gate Farm in East Lyme has always offered an abundance of fresh produce, eggs and poultry for sale at its farm stand. Now, the farm is going to show you how to use them.   

This evening, White Gate Farm will unveil its brand new commercial farm kitchen and introduce the diverse lineup of chefs who will be teaching a series of cooking classes beginning September 15.

The event, which will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., includes a hands-on tour of the kitchen, wine or watermelon agua fresca, and hors d'oeuvres, all made with ingredients grown on the farm, naturally. A number of the chefs will be there to give demonstrations too—and you get all that for just $10!
