Housing Market Cools Off Considerably in August
Property transactions recorded at Town Hall show only four properties sold this week, two in East Lyme and two in Old Lyme

Realtors say it's not uncommon for the market to cool off in August following a flurry of sales in June and July as families strive to move before school starts. This week's property transactions recorded in Old Lyme and East Lyme also suggest that more modest properties are moving. Realtors say they've been seeing an increase in first time home buyers.
