Lyme Beefs Up DUI Patrols

Starting on Friday, August 24, State Police from Troop F will be on the lookout for drunk drivers

It's never a good idea to have one for the road but if you're driving through Lyme, you're more likely to get caught if you try it. The town recently received a Federal Highway Safety Program grant to help crack down on drunk driving.

Connecticut State Police Troop F in Westbrook applied for the grant to help pay for the increased DUI enforcement patrols. According to the town's web site, the grant covers about two-thirds of the total program cost.
