Lyme, East Lyme and Old Lyme to Receive More Grant Money Next Year
The towns are scheduled to receive 2.4 to 24.5 percent more in grant money in the next fiscal year.

Lyme, East Lyme and Old Lyme will all be getting more money in state grants next year. Percentage-wise Lyme will be receiving 3-10 times more than the other two towns but East Lyme will be receiving the most money.
Lyme will get $73,667 more in grant money from the state in fiscal year 2014 than it did this year, according to a report by the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities. Lyme is slated to about $374,441 in grant money in fiscal year 2014, or about 24.5 percent more than fiscal year 2013, when it received $300,774.
East Lyme will get $214,012 more in grant money next year. The town is slated to receive about $9,002,449 in grant money in fiscal year 2014, or about 2.4 percent more than fiscal year 2013, when it received $8,788,437, according to the CCM analysis.
And Old Lyme will get $61,105 more this coming year in grant money. It will receive $962,812, or 6.8 percent more than in fiscal year 2013 when it received $901,708.
CCM officials said their analysis was based on certain key grant programs, and that the estimates were based on available information. They noted that actual grant amounts may differ and that a more detailed analysis is underway.
