Music, Meetings, And Life Is A Cabaret
Five things to help you plan your day, July 31, in East Lyme, Old Lyme, and Lyme.

1. Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 81 degrees and an overnight low of 66 degrees, according to weather.com. There's just a 10 percent chance of rain. Humidity will be lower than it had been but it is likely to become more humid this evening.
2. Summer concerts at Harkness Park in Waterford are usually held on Thursday but this week's show featuring Leon Russell will be held tonight. Tickets are $35 if you buy them at the gate, $25 if you buy them before 3 p.m. today. You can pick up tickets locally at The Songbird Cafe in Old Lyme or at Tumbleweeds in Niantic, or buy them online.
3. Old Lyme Conservation Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall's 2nd floor Conference Room.
4. Old Lyme Parks and Recreation Meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Veterans Room of Old Lyme Town Hall.
5. The O'Neill's summer theater programs are entering the final stretch. This evening, the two-week cabaret series begins with opening ceremonies at 8 p.m. at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford. For information, call (860) 443-1238 or go to www.theoneill.org.
