Old Lyme Midsummer Festival Ends With Banging Fireworks!

A look back at Midsummer in Old Lyme

Old Lyme's annual Midsummer Festival got off to a terrific start with art open houses, a picnic and dancing to bluegrass music by Poor Old Shine by the Lieutenant River at the Florence Griswold Museum.

The fun continued the next day, with activities for the entire family. The Midsummer Festival ended with a performance by Old Lyme Town Band at 7 p.m. on the field between LOL Middle School and LOL High School. Kids danced around with glow sticks provided by Old Lyme Chamber of Commerce and then came the long awaited fireworks!
