Pay Property Taxes Online In East Lyme
Tax Collector John McCulloch announced a new service that allows East Lyme taxpayers to see how much they owe and pay it online.

If you're finding it difficult to make it to East Lyme Town Hall to pay your taxes by the Aug. 1 deadline, don't worry. You can pay it anytime online. Don't know how much you owe? You can find that out online too.
"Through this web site you'll be able to make accurate tax payments without having a bill in hand," said East Lyme Tax Collector John McCulloch, who announced the new service available to East Lyme taxpayers at the last Board of Selectmen meeting. "You can pay part of it or pay multiple bills. It should be a very efficient way for people to make payments without having to find bills."
To look up your tax history through 2012, which is the applicable fiscal year now, go to www.eastlyme.gemsnt.com.
To pay your taxes, go to http://gemsnt.com/eastlyme-webtax. The billing process is handled by Webster Bank, via a secure banking system routed through Hartford. The tax funds go directly into the Town of East Lyme's General Fund.
To pay using American Express, VISA, Mastercard or Discover, call Official Payments Corporation at their toll-free number 1-800-272-9829 or visit http://www.officialpayments.com and enter the number 1739. That is the jurisdictional code for East Lyme. Then follow the instructions.
