Police Blotter: A Busy Weekend Nets A Number of Arrests In East Lyme
Arrest information for July 3-6 is provided by East Lyme Police Department and by State Police Troop E. An arrest does not signify a conviction.

Increased enforcement over the holiday weekend led to thousands of arrests for traffic violations across Connecticut. State Police Troop E in Montville alone made eight arrests for drunk driving, wrote 270 speeding tickets, issued 496 tickets for motor vehicle infractions, and gave 132 written warnings.
Here are the arrest reports for East Lyme:
July 3
Bryant Roy, 35, of 109 Pennsylvania Avenue, Niantic, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and was found to be in possession of 9 grams of a white powder that field-tested positive for cocaine. He was charged with illegal sale of a controlled substance and with possession of a controlled substance (narcotics). Bond was set at $10,000.
July 5
Claude Milton Adams, 24, of 2 Bidwell Street, Niantic, was arrested by East Lyme Police on a warrant and charged with larceny in the second degree (theft from a building). Court date was set for July 19 at New London G.A. 10 Court.
Michael C. Aaron, 44, of 611 Campbell Avenue, West Haven was charged with driving while under suspension, with unauthorized use of a handicapped placard and with unauthorized use of a handicapped space. The arrest was made at King Arthur Drive in East Lyme where police say the driver was parked in a handicapped space in a car with a handicapped sticker. Neither the space nor the sticker belonged to either occupant of the vehicle, neither of whom was handicapped.
July 6
Charles B. Crosby, 49, of 127 Black Point Road, 38, in Niantic, was arrested on an active warrant and charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful restraint in the second degree.
