A school bus packed with homeward-bound Lyme students was struck by a pick-up truck yesterday afternoon at about 3:30 p.m. The bus was traveling southbound on Route 156 just north of Cove Road in Lyme when, according to the police report, a Chevy Silverado pick-up truck veered into the southbound lane of Route 156 and struck the bus's front passenger side.

Police say none of the 19 students, who ranged in age from 5 to 10 years old, were injured in the crash and the driver, Amy Krulikowski of Old Lyme, was also unharmed. The impact damaged the right front panel of the bus, which is owned by M&J Bus Inc. of Old Saybrook.
