Suspected Scam Artists Make a Power Play in Old Lyme

Old Lyme Police Department has received reports that "unknown individuals" are going door-to-door, claiming to be from the power company and threatening to cut off power to homes unless they are given payments.

If you receive such a visit, please call the Old Lyme Police Department immediately at 860-434-1986. You may not fall for this ploy but a neighbor might—and police have a much better chance of catching the suspected con artists if you call them as soon as possible.
