East Lyme Police Department doesn't look very accessible at the moment but when construction to the front entrance is complete, people with wheelchairs will have an easier time getting in the door.
East Lyme First Selectman Paul Formica admits that starting construction to install ramps right before Celebrate East Lyme this weekend was a bit of a risk but the job should be done in time for the weekend celebration.
In the meantime, the side door and the after hours entrance (which already has a ramp), are being used as entrances.
