1. Today's weather: You'll need an umbrella. There's a 60 percent chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms this morning and again in the late afternoon and early evening. It’s still going to be hot and humid with a high of 80 degrees and an overnight low of 71 degrees.
2. In East Lyme, the Water and Sewer Commission meets at 7 p.m. at East Lyme Town Hall. The town is moving forward with plans to install new water meters. East Lyme is now putting video recordings of meetings on YouTube.
3. In Old Lyme, the Inlands Wetlands and Watercourses Commission meets at 7 p.m. in the second floor conference room of Old Lyme Town Hall. Election season is nearly upon us. Republican Town Committee, 7:00 p.m. American Legion Room, Old Lyme Town Hall.
4. In Lyme, the Open Space Committee meets at Lyme Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.
5. Old Lyme's One Town One Book program continues with a talk entitled Native American Myths on Nature and Stewardship of the Land presented by Michael Caduto at Old Lyme Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. You can register for this program or find out more information at www.oldlyme.lioninc.org
