Tornado Watch Issued For New London County

A line of severe thunderstorms is headed our way. The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for New London County through 9 p.m. tonight.

The National Weather Service is predicting "Severe thunderstorms with widespread damaging winds and a few tornadoes expected across portions of western and southern New England this afternoon into tonight." 

Showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop around 6 p.m., according to Weather.com. A Tornado Watch cautions people to keep an eye on the weather and be alert in the event that this watch is upgraded to a tornado warning.
