What's On And What's Canceled Tonight
East Lyme Parks and Recreation's concerts at McCooks are off, but the music plays on at Pro Tek Auto's Main Street, Niantic, stage and at The Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme tonight.

No Music Tonight or Tomorrow At McCook Point Park in East Lyme
East Lyme Parks and Recreation has canceled both concerts it had scheduled for McCook's Point Park. The first, a concert by the 102nd Army National Guard Band planned for this evening was canceled due to the weather. The second, a performance by the Paul Lussier Band, which was slated for Saturday has also been canceled due to a scheduling conflict for the band.
The Show Goes On At Pro Tek Auto In Niantic
Pro Tek Auto's summer concert series is still on with two bands this evening taking the stage at 315 Main Street, Niantic. The first band, Lamperelli Brothers, play acoustic doo-wop. The second, That's What She Sang, plays acoustic top 40.
The concert runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The show is free but donations are gratefully accepted. All the money goes to support music programs at local schools in East Lyme.
Music Shines On In Old Lyme
Old Lyme's Midsummer Festival kicks off tonight as planned with a performance by bluegrass band Poor Old Shine at the Florence Griswold Museum on Lyme Street in Old Lyme. The outdoor concert will go on, rain or shine. (And let's hope that the name of the band inspires the latter.) The museum is holding a pre-concert open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The concert runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
