According to UConn the following criteria is used for compiling Dean's Lists:

  • Twelve or more calculable credits taken in the semester. (Courses taken on pass/fail or S/U graded courses are not calculable credit courses).
  • Rank in upper 25th percentile in School or College and a minimum semester Grade Point Average of 3.000.
  • No grade below a C, including the actual letter grade awarded in any pass/fail course taken, in the semester.

Top quartile figures do not include those students who met the above criteria but who had incompletes, absence marks, late grades or "no show" at the time of final grade processing. These students are also not listed on the Dean's List, according to UConn.
