Additional Speed Cameras Ready For Activation In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown Police Monday announced the activation of two additional speed cameras.

Here are the particulars:

Site 1

• Westfield Street within the Spencer Elementary School Zone westbound/eastbound Westfield Street between McCormick Lane and Bailey Road
• School Safety Zone Speed Limit — 20 mph between 8 and 9:15 a.m.; and between 3 and 3:45 p.m.
• Other Speed Limit Enforcement — 30 mph during Non-School Zone Hours

Site 2

• Country Club Road east of Higby Road, westbound and eastbound - speed limit enforcement 25 mph at all times

Warnings will begin on Nov. 17 and citations will begin on Dec. 22, police said.

Said police, "The Middletown Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety of pedestrians and all those traveling through school zones, primary and secondary roads in our city."
