All Invited to Friends of Valley Falls Annual Meeting
Mushroom Experts are Guest Speakers at Sept. 28 Meeting
The Friends of Valley Falls will hold their Annual Meeting 1-3 pm Sept. 28 at Valley Falls Farm and Heritage Center. Following a short business meeting, Karen Monger & Robert Gergulics of “The 3 Foragers” will talk about mushroom identification before taking the group on a mushroom foray around the farm.
Karen and Robert are club officers with the Connecticut Valley Mycological Society, and members of several other mushroom clubs in the northeast. Karen is a former editor of the newsletter for the North American Mycological Association. As The 3 Foragers, Karen and Robert have presented over 200 walks and programs to community groups and organizations.
Park at the Red Barn, 345 Valley Falls Road, Vernon or at Valley Falls Park and walk the short distance to the barn. All are welcome to attend this fun and free event. Refreshments will be served and the Heritage Center buildings will also be open.
