
MaryAnn (Biggins) Erickson, 69, of Vernon, beloved wife for 50 years of James H. Erickson, passed away on Friday, (May 4, 2012) at Rockville General Hospital.
Born in Indianapolis, IN on August 30, 1942, daughter of the late Richard and Grace (Hughes) Biggins, she was raised in Indianapolis, IN and in Manhasset, NY and had lived in Vernon for over 40 years. MaryAnn worked at Rockville Bank for many years before her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed scrapbooking and watching Nascar races and cheering for her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Vernon.
Besides her husband she leaves a son, David Erickson and his wife Shelly of Tolland; a daughter, Mary Pat Duby and her husband Matthew of Monson, MA; a sister, Patricia George and her husband Hunter of Birmingham, AL; two granddaughters, Lindsey Duby and Courtney Erickson; and many nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends on Monday, May 7, 7-9 p.m., with a prayer service at 8 p.m., at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Burial will be private in St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
MaryAnn's family has requested that memorial donations be made to the St. Joseph School, 41 West Street, Vernon, CT 06066.
