Armed Robber At Large After Hold-Up At Vernon Business

VERNON, CT — An armed robber was still at large Friday morning after an inc incident a day-and-a-half earlier at a local business, police said.

According to a police report, at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, Vernon officers responded to a smoke shop at 200 Hartford Turnpike after receiving a report about an armed robbery.

A store employee stated that he was robbed at gunpoint and the bandit left the scene on foot, according to an incident report.

A dog track ensued but the robber was not located, according to an incident report.

No injuries were reported and the VPD Detective Division is investigating in the case.
