Car Lands On Roof After Collision In Vernon

VERNON, CT — A car rolled over in Vernon Thursday afternoon after colliding with another vehicle.

Police and fire officials said the crash took place at 4:52 p.m. near 175 Hartford Turnpike. Upon arrival emergency responders located a two-vehicle crash with one of the vehicles, a Volkswagen, sitting on its roof, police said.

A second vehicle, a Subaru, sustained damage to its rear and had a wheel torn off, fire officials said.

The drivers of both vehicles were evaluated by EMS crews at the scene for minor injuries, fire officials said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, police said.
