VERNON, CT — A getaway car was parked in the wrong place at the wrong time when Vernon police caught shoplifting suspects at a local Stop & Shop.
Vernon police Tuesday made a report on the Nov. 13 incident available.
Just before 7:30 that evening, an officer on patrol noticed a black Nissan Rogue in the parking lot of the Rockville Stop Shop on Windsorville Road that was known to be involved in previous larcenies at the supermarket, according to an arrest report.

As two men sat in the car, a woman exited the store with a Stop & Shop staff member following her, according to an arrest report. The woman was also a suspect in previous incidents, police said.
It turned out, they were engaged in another shoplifting, according to an arrest report.

Police said in a cart being pushed by the woman were cases of Red Bull energy drinks, Pepsi, milk, food products and household items valued at $1,044.
The woman made it to the Nissan but that's when police intervened, according to an arrest report.
The woman was identified as Sheila Salazar, 25, of Hartford. The driver was identified as Michael Tolmach, 34, of Framingham, MA. The other man in the car was identified as Miguel Molina, 50, of Hartford.
All three were charged with fourth-degree larceny, according to an arrest report. Molina was also charged with interfering with police, according to an arrest report.
