VERNON, CT — A disturbance on a street in Vernon resulted in gun charges for a 28-year-old Hartford man, police said.

The incident took place at 11 a.m. on Windsorville Road near the Rockville Stop & Shop, according to an arrest report. A gun was located, police said.

Police arrested Okeno Cross and charged him with carrying a pistol without a permit, a gun serial number violation, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine and second-degree breach of peace.

He was being held on a $50,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Tuesday, records show.
