VERNON, CT — A familiar name on the Vernon restaurant scene seems about to make a comeback.

Little Mark's, a barbecue joint that closed on Route 83 several years ago, has begun the local regulatory process to re-emerge at the former Frankie B's on Kelly Road. The parcel is owned by the team that runs the Holiday Inn Express Next Door. The ownership goes back to the Angellino's days on Kelly Road.

Town officials said that, as of Tuesday, only a sign permit has been applied for. The use, however, is conforming, so approval is more easily obtainable, they added.
