Man Caught Feasting On Grapes At Vernon Supermarket Has Dessert With The Cops
A man tossed out of one supermarket for helping himself to produce was arrested at another supermarket, Vernon police said.

VERNON, CT — A man caught feasting on grapes at a supermarket in Vernon wound up having dessert with the cops, according to an arrest report.
He was arrested while seemingly heading to another supermarket, the report shows.
Police released a report in the Aug. 18 incident Monday. At 9:15 p.n. that night, a loss-preventionm staffer at the ShopRite Supermarket in the Tri-City Plaza caught a 36-year-old East Hartford man helping himself to a bunch of grapes in the product section.

He was promptly asked to leave the store and the police were called, according to an arrest report. He was located a short distance away in the lot of the Stop & Shop on Pitkin Road, according to an arrest report.
The man was charged with sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal trespass, records show.
