VERNON, CT — A man was located under a truck at an accident scene in Vernon Monday, police said.

The incident took place at 10:46 a.m. in the area of 862 Hartford Turnpike, according to an incident report.

When officers arrived, they located a 31-year-old Manchester man underneath his work truck, according to an incident report. Police, fire and EMS crews came to the man's aid and he was quickly transported to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries, according to an incident report.

The man was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon, according to police.

Police said they were treating the crash as a pedestrian incident.

A 2005 Honda Accord was also located facing east at the crash scene and it was apparently involved in the accident, according to an incident report. It was being driven by a 34-year-old Vernon resident, who has been cooperating with the investigation by Vernon police, The Connecticut DMV Police and Metro Traffic Services, according to an incident report.
