Meet Rocky, Troop C's Newest K9 Officer
Rocky and his partner, Trooper Ryan Cloukey, graduated from the canine class in May.

Troop C in Tolland has a new K9 officer in town.
Rocky, an 18-month-old German Shepherd, graduated from 173rd Patrol K9 Clsss on May 28. This was a 14-week class where he was trained in handler protection, human tracking, and evidence recovery.

The K9 officer, who was donated to the Connecticut State Police by food distributor Bozzuto’s Inc., is assigned to Trooper Ryan Cloukey and will be primarily working at Troop C.
Rocky has hit the ground running and has already aided in a felony arrest - as a direct result of his keen tracking ability.

In the future, Rocky has potential for consideration in either the Connecticut State Police search and rescue or narcotics programs.
