VERNON, CT — Fire and environmental crews responded to an oil slick left by a disabled tractor-trailer in Vernon Tuesday morning.

The truck was visible to drivers after the morning commute on the east side of Interstate 84 near the Exit 64/65 interchange. Fire officials said fluid was leaking from the truck, which had pulled over to the right-hand shoulder.

What fire officials called "oil contents" had been released from the truck's motor and a slick measuring about 200 feet in length stretched from the right-hand lane to the right-hand shoulder, fire officials said.
