Staffing Issues Keep Historic Connecticut River Ferry At The Dock
State transportation officials made the announcement Monday afternoon.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Connecticut Department of Transportation officials said Monday afternoon that ferry service on the Connecticut River between Rocky Hill and Glastonbury has been "temporarily suspended" because of staffing shortages.
The announcement was made at 1:27 p.m.
There was no word on the schedule for remainder of the week.

The Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry is the oldest continuously operating ferry in America, It began service in 1655. It crosses the river between Rocky Hill and South Glastonbury.
It's part of state Route 160.
